Intensive Outpatient Programs in Virginia
Prosperity’s Premier Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for all genders, ages, and types of eating disorders. The program is tailored to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and interests.
The IOP serves as an excellent transition from higher levels of care or as a supplement to outpatient therapy. It operates three to five days/nights per week, offering three flexible time slots: 8 am-11 am, 12 pm-3 pm, and 5 pm-8 pm.
Treatment includes:
Two hours of group therapy and one hour of meal support daily
Individual and nutrition counseling by skilled eating disorder specialists
Weekly family support groups
This structured program aims to support clients in their journey to full recovery, providing a comprehensive approach to eating disorder treatment
We offer a hybrid eating disorder model:
- Customizable 3-5 day program days
- Combine in-person and virtual days
- Combine daytime options and evening options
Adult IOP is 18+ In Person in Herndon and Norfolk from 8 am-11 am, 12 pm- 3 pm or 5 pm -8 pm.
Adolescent IOP is for ages 10-17. In Person in Herndon and Norfolk from 8 am-11 am, 12 pm- 3 pm or 5 pm -8 pm.
Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs (VIOP)
Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) meets three evenings a week from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom.
We offer discounted meals to be sent to client’s homes as part of this program.
Participants suitable for this program will have a diagnosis of Anorexia, OSFED, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED), or experience symptoms of Orthorexia or other disordered eating patterns. This program is intended for individuals who are not recommended for Residential or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) levels of care. Virtual participants are ideally those not located near in-person program options.
